Cocoa Almond Energy Bites

These are made just like my Oatmeal Raisin Energy Bites, except these taste like brownies. 🙂 Definitely a great natural sweet treat alternative with all natural ingredients and sugars from fruit and dates.

Chocolateeee. You really can’t go wrong.

These are addicting, trust me. Just take them to work and hand them out because otherwise you’ll eat the whole bowl.

Ingredients: Makes about 15 bites

2 scoops Promix Vanilla Whey Protein (You can use any protein you like, unflavored, vanilla, or I’m sure chocolate would be good as well)

1 tbsp + 1 tsp dutch cocoa powder

3 tbsp mini chocolate chips

2 tbsp cacao nibs (optional)

1/4 cup old fashioned oats

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 banana

5 Medjool dates, pitted

2 tbsp nut butter (I used 1 tbsp Justin’s Maple Almond Butter, and 1 Tbsp natural fresh cashew butter from the dutch market)

Shredded unsweetened coconut (for coating)

Throw everything in a food processor, and process until incorporated. Roll into balls and coat with unsweetened shredded coconut. Refrigerate and enjoy!
